Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

We collect only what is needed to run eCalled:

• Email address — used to send magic login links. We do not share it.
• Username and display name — shown publicly on the platform.
• Predictions you create and votes you cast — core platform data, shown publicly.
• Auth cookie — a secure, HTTP-only cookie that keeps you logged in for 7 days.

2. What we do not collect

• No passwords (we use magic links)
• No payment information (eCalled is free)
• No location data
• No third-party tracking pixels or ad networks

3. How we use your data

• To authenticate you via magic link email
• To display your predictions, votes, and scores on the platform
• To maintain your leaderboard position

We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Oracle AI

When a prediction is created, its title and description are sent to a third-party AI API (Anthropic Claude) to generate Oracle AI's vote and reasoning. No personal user data is included in these requests.

5. Cookies

We use a single authentication cookie (access_token). It is HTTP-only, Secure, and expires after 7 days. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

6. Data retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing hello@ecalled.com.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Auth tokens are stored in HTTP-only cookies to protect against XSS. We take reasonable measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time. We'll update the date at the top. Continued use of eCalled constitutes acceptance.
